Kolukkumalai is home to highest organic tea plantations in the world. It is about 7,120 ft (2,170 m) above sea level. This hill top village is accessible only by jeep due to rugged roads.

Sunrise view is the main attraction in kolukkumalai tea plantation. To see this pleasing view we have to book a jeep and have to start the journey at 4.30 AM. Since the 'road' to one of the highest tea estates  in the world is a collection of stones, people with a weak back and of course pregnant women shouldn't do this tour. The 20 km journey from our PURPLE MUNNAR

Reaching the top, just before the tea factory, You will be  facing Tamil Nadu on one side (fully covered with clouds) and Kerala on the other (completely  giving  clear panoramic views !!!).
